If so, it would have saved allot of work just to go back to an earlier backup of the registry, assuming that is possible when the OS won't boot. I've tried safe mode and that wouldnt work either. So I installed Windows XP Pro SP2 (since its suppose to have the supported SATA drivers) but that didn't work either. I have anti-virus, firewall, and anti-spy. Source It just hangs up on the commands.
