I can easily see a few spare gigs there for my programs. Data transfer is really impressive for large sequential reads from SSD's, but that isn't a large fraction of the I/O workload. I only had the barebones plugged in during the setup (along with the 950 in the M.2 slot). I would keep all my docs on the HDD. They both seem to have the m.2 share bandwidth with the sata express ports, which I believe use the 3rd pci-e lane. Ive tried it with a windows 8.1 and 10 install aswell and both cant see it either, i even tried to load the drivers on top of that but still nothing. Phil's comment on using the SSD in another PC 1st, and then 'especially' what you said about those 3 'optical' SATA ports not being different from the other 5 SATA ports....

I was also getting the 0x80300001 error scratching my head thinking it was some obscure setting in the BIOS. In the end I had to mash together several different guides to work on this system.
