Task Manager > Processes > sidebar.exe is hovering around 19,000 K. I was running the current releases of the ALLCPU Meter gadget and the Network Meter Gadget from www.addgadget.com and they turned out to be the culprits. I remember the previous version of the Network Monitor caused problems when I was running Vista. or maybe you have lots of processes that together make it eat all memory available. For me svhost.exe takes 180mb of memory and firefox with running few tabs takes around 500mb.
